Condolence From: Ed Shannon
Condolence: 35+ years a friend, we umpired and officiated hundreds of games together. Mainly a friend. Golf, I could never out drive him, best ball we always used Woody's. Always a friend. Always talked about his family. When in Atlanta Ron would send me pictures of Carter and Casey. His love for them was endless. His daughters and son-in-laws as well. Jo Ann, surely the love of his life. I could go on and on. 35+ years-----A friend. We will all miss Woody.

To Ronnie, I am so grateful for your last phone call to me, telling me you love me! Remembering our childhood together; wonderful holidays, Christmas morning you running down the stairs to see all the gifts, digging into Easter basket pulling out chocolate bunnies, etc. I remember you playing baseball! Always Proud of You! May You Rest In Peace, Ronnie!

Condolence: My sincerest condolences go out to Coach Woody's immediate and extended family. I will always remember him as an excellent educator and coach, but mostly a teacher. As a head strong teenager playing baseball for him, he taught me the importance of winning, and losing, with dignity and grace. And how to conduct oneself respectfully on and off the field. He also taught that with great faith, nothing is impossible with the Lord as your savior. Godspeed, Coach Woody. Hope to see you again one day.

Condolence: I was deeply saddened to learn of Ron's passing. We worked together at JEJ Moore Middle School in the early to mid 90's. Ron's dedication to his students and passion for his savior set him apart. His engaging smile, ready wit and loving nature provided inspiration to all. I will cherish my memories of Ron.
God Bless You, my friend.
