Alice Fry

Alice Brown Fry, 84, of Prince George, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Thelma Throckmorton Brown, and the widow of Ernest Fry. Mrs. Fry was preceded in death by a son, David Matthew "Bubba" Fry. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church for many years. Mrs. Fry is survived by sons, Michael R. Fry of Prince George and John E. Fry and wife, Diana of Hopewell; daughters, Susan F. DeHart and husband, Johnny of Amelia and Kathi F. Rogers and husband, Jeffrey of Prince George; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother Harvey R. Brown and wife, Mable of Charlottesville; and two nieces. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W. Hundred Road, Chester, Virginia 23831 with Chaplain Craig Buxton officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road.
