Arthur “Larry” Harold Allison, 79, of Chesapeake, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026. Born January 16, 1947, he was the son of the late Arthur Kinsley and Marion Christine Allison. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Susan Allison; son, Robert Allison; sister, Brenda Geisz; and brother, Douglas Allison.

A proud veteran, Larry faithfully served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969. Following his military service, he dedicated his life to protecting and serving his community, ultimately retiring as a Sergeant from the Petersburg Police Department after years of devoted public duty.

He is survived by his sons, Donald Allison and wife, Tina, and Brian Allison; six grandchildren, Leif Allison, Nathan Brinton, Holly Allison, Cora Allison, Lena Allison and Tess Allison; brother, Rodney Allison; and other extended family members

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026 in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, Virginia 23805.
