Audrey Jean (Lent) Cox, 70 of Chesterfield, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2026. She was born January 6, 1956, to the late Bernard and Alices Mill Lent.

Audrey is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Starell Cox, Sr.; son Starell Cox, Jr. (Becky); two granddaughters, Raegan and Rylee Cox; grandson, Luke Cox; two brothers, Ben Lent and Clyde Lent (Thelma); sister-in-law, Martha Lent; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Audrey lived a life defined by generosity and devotion to others. She was always a giving person. Taking care of people was her life’s mission, and no one was more important to her than her family. She had a rare way of seeing what others needed before they knew it themselves, and she was always ten steps ahead, whether she was planning a family gathering, solving a problem before it started, or quietly making sure everyone else had what they needed. Even in difficult times, she worried about others before herself, and in doing so, she taught all of us what it means to love selflessly. Audrey will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her kindness and care will live on in the people she looked after so faithfully.
