Barbara Metosh

Metosh, Barbara Clarke, 88, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Onnie Clarke; her sisters, Lucille Cole and Shirley Tomlin; her husband, Jean A. Metosh; and her son Barry N. Metosh. Mrs. Metosh was a life-long member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. She retired from Commonwealth Vending Company. She was a member of The Colonial Heights Federated Woman’s Club and was a past president and Honorary Color Guard member of the V.F.W. Woman’s Auxiliary Post 2239 of Colonial Heights. The family will always remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a great-great grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Hopkins and Barry of Chesterfield; and son, Jeff Metosh and Lura of Orlando, Florida; six grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2022, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the funeral home.
