Bernard Ritchie Roane

Bernard Ritchie Roane of Matoaca, Virginia passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 83.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet H. Roane; his daughters, Christie R. Steglik (Tony), Wendy K. Ross; grandchildren, Abbey C. Hensley, Benjamin R. Hensley, Alexa M. Ross, Zachary H. Hensley; great-grandchildren, Ryder Ross, and Christy Hubbard.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Veteran’s Parkinson’s Research with checks payable to the Center for Development & Civic Engagement with memo note of Fund #1164 in the name of Bernard R. Roane. Contributions can be mailed to the Center for Development & Civic Engagement (135), Hunter Homes McGuire VA Medical Center, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd. Richmond, Virginia 23249.

A Celebration of Bernard’s life will be held at Bernard and Jan Roane’s home on May 18, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
