Betty Sue
Angle
May 31, 1956 – June 11, 2026
Betty Sue Angle, 70, of Hopewell passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, peacefully reuniting with the love of her life, her husband, Terry Angle. Born May 31, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Glenwood and Margaret Pead, and was also preceded in death by her siblings, John Pead, Merle Pead, Anne LeBron and Gloria Watkins.
For over thirty years, Betty Sue was a familiar and trusted face in the local real estate community working as a loan officer. To her, the job was about helping people build their lives and treating every client like a neighbor. After retiring from her long career, she turned her energy toward a successful Mary Kay business. There, she acted as a mentor, a prayer warrior, and a second mother to the women she worked with. She had a rare gift for making anyone she talked to feel like the most important person in the room.
But if you asked Betty Sue what mattered most, she wouldn't have mentioned her career. She put God first in everything she did, and her life was defined by her love for her family and her friends.
Betty Sue loved the simple joys of life. She loved listening to live music, loving on her dog, Bella, and hosting family gatherings. Her home was always the central meeting place, filled with good food, laughter, and the people she loved.
Her greatest pride was her family, and her legacy lives on through those she loved most. She is survived by her devoted children, Teri Blair Lucy (Justin), and Chad Angle (Christa); and her loving stepchildren, Callie Chavis (Ricky), Tanya Williamson (Wayne), and Tracy Jolly.
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, who were her absolute pride and joy, Harper & Hampton Lucy, Jackson & Charley Angle, Makayla, Laci, Taylor, Caleb, Michah, Haley, Sydney; as well as her precious great-grandchildren, Adaline, Seth, Alaina, Oakley and Judah.
A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty Sue’s name to the American Cancer Society at https://American Cancer Society/. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory. Online condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
