Betty Mae Jarratt, 83, of North Dinwiddie, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026. Born in Jena, Louisiana, Betty was the daughter of the late Dalton E. Greene and Iris Ineta Taylor Tullis. She loved God, family and friends, and Louisiana. Betty was a member of Monumental Baptist Church in Petersburg. She worked as a cashier while raising her three sons and cared for her grandchildren at every opportunity. She was the eldest of five siblings and the only daughter.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Bollie (Bobby) Jarratt, and three youngest brothers, Larry Tullis, Barney Tullis, and Kennie Tullis. Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Dalton Greene of Vidor, TX, and Lavelle Tullis of Dry Prong, LA; three sons, Bollie Lee Jarratt, Jr. and wife, Nanette, of Midlothian, David W. Jarratt of North Dinwiddie, and Steven C. Jarratt of North Dinwiddie; two granddaughters, Beth A. Stilwell and husband Eddie of Midlothian, and Kelly A. Jarratt of Midlothian; two grandsons, Robert F. Jarratt of Durham, NC, and Timothy F. Jarratt of Midlothian; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2026, in the Crater Road Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road, with Pastor Duane Guridy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday in Readville Baptist Church and Cemetery, Sussex. Following interment, the family cherishes the opportunity to visit with family and friends to share memories in the Fellowship Hall of Monumental Baptist Church, 2925 S. Crater Road.
