Betty Spain

Betty Jessup Spain, 71, of Colonial Heights, died on Friday, May 9, 2008 at John Randolph Medical Center. She was born in Dinwiddie County and was the daughter of the late James Manuel and Elouise Mae Gupton Jessup. She is survived by four aunts, Doris Delano of Colonial Heights, Dorothy Dunnavant of Richmond, Pauline Grissom of Chesterfield, and Mecy Leisur of Austin, Texas; also survived by her devoted companion, Howard Eggleston. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg with the Rev. Tom Lowman officiating. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
