Beverly Jo Lee

Beverly Jo Lee, 74, of Colonial Heights, passed away, Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Southside Medical Center in Petersburg.  She was born September 27, 1947 in Kentucky to the late George Thomas and Gusta Marie House Embry, and was preceded in death by her husband, John Lee; son, John Lee II; granddaughter, Victoria Lee; and sister, Sharon Embry. Beverly was a medical transcriptionist for Petersburg General Hospital/Southside Medical Center, and VCU Department of Oncology. She was known for her great love of her family and loyalty to her friends. She was a great listener and made everyone around her laugh. Beverly is survived by a son, Jeff Lee; grandson, John Lee III; sister, Diane Embry; very dear friends, Jenny “Lou” Wilkinson and Carolyn Milan; several cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends; and her dog, Brenna.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O.
