It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Brenda Bulifant Whorley, of Chesterfield, Virginia, on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

Brenda was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. Kind, funny, and wonderfully stubborn, Brenda had a way of making friends wherever she went and leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She especially loved spending time with her family, and nothing brought her more joy than her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed helping Sam and Brent with their clients and friends at Premier Irrigation. In her free time, Brenda was happiest in front of a slot machine or aboard a cruise ship, enjoying life to the fullest.

She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Samuel Whorley; her children, Brent Lucie (Cathy) and Stephanie Lucie; her stepson, Terry Whorley; her mother, Marion Bulifant; her siblings, Tonda Hockenberry (John), Rhonda Howard (Chris), and William Bulifant; her grandchildren, Alexis Staten (Jarell), Caleb Worch, Brison Lucie, Dorien Lucie, and Abel Lucie; three great-granddaughters; numerous nieces, nephews and other beloved extended family members and friends.

Brenda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will forever remain in their hearts.

Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
