Charles Patrick Blaha, 62, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle Blaha; his father, Francis Joseph Blaha Sr.; his mother, Ethel Wrenn Blaha; and his brother, Francis Joseph Blaha Jr.

He is survived by his daughter, Abigail Blaha; his siblings, Laurel Blaha Rothenberger (Ray), Phyllis Blaha Pate, Chris Blaha (Eileen “Stokey”), Cynthia Blaha Merritt; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Charles was employed as a Senior Information Technology Infrastructure Specialist with AdvanSix and previously worked in information technology positions with DuPont. He was a graduate of Thomas Dale High School, Class of 1981, and pursued further education at ECPI University.

He enjoyed camping and fishing and participated in tournament bass fishing during the late 1990s and early 2000s. He also had an interest in repairing computers.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday March 14, 2026 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Route 1, South Chesterfield, VA 23834. Hospitality will follow after the memorial service in Condon Hall. Arrangements are by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Tech for Troops (techfortroops.org), a Henrico County-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing refurbished computers and digital skills support to veterans, or to Feed More, or to a local church or community food pantry of the donor’s choice.
