Cheryl Jean Pope

Cheryl Jean Pope, 53, of Emporia, Virginia, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025. She was born on October 5, 1971, in Fort Lee, Virginia.

Cheryl was a devoted homemaker who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a deep love for her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She also loved dolphins and enjoyed collecting anything that featured them. In her free time, she loved riding motorcycles and playing cards.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Fry, and her grandmother, Agnes Powell. She is survived by her mother, Carla Hoffman; daughter, Rebecca Pope; son, Mathew Pope; six grandchildren, sister, Sheila Stewart; two brothers, Clifford Fry and Anthony Sheffield, Jr; and many other extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
