Christopher R. “Chris” Drown Sr., 59, of Prince George, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025. Born to the late Ronald Drown and Sharon Sutton Thompson, Chris was a man of remarkable skill, dedication, and heart. He was the proud owner of 2 The Top Tree Services, where he combined his love of the outdoors with his unmatched work ethic. A true tradesman, Chris also shared his craftsmanship through carpentry, roofing, and paving, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and quality in every project he touched. Chris is survived by his loving wife, Sheila; sons Christopher “CJ” (Lily) and Bruce Jr. (Heather); sister, Leigh Ann; nephew, Matthew (Sarah); niece, Ashley; great-nieces, Penelope Jane, Kinley, and Skylar; brother-in-law, Karl “Bubba” Harvey; and very close friends Juan Goodman, David Ragsdale, Brian Schrum, Alex Williams, and Gill Fontenot. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the Mausoleum at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, Virginia 23805. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Colonial Heights Animal Shelter P.O. Box 3401 Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 in memory of Chris.
