David Moores

David Bradley Moores, 64, of Hopewell, Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 11, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his father, James Alton Moores.

Survived to cherish his memory are his mother, Mary Moores; children Daniel Moores, and Amanda Moores; grandchildren Aiyana Moores, Aidan Moores, and Anayia Moores; siblings Linda Morgan (Mike) and James Moores (Lori).  David also had several nieces and nephews who he adored.

David was a faithful Christian, loved his family, and strong protector to those he loved.  Throughout his life, until his final breath, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those surrounding him.  He was best known for his beautiful voice.  He served as song leader in the Church of Christ, where he led the congregation in praise.  He enjoyed singing and giving glory to God in all he did.  David was an encourager, and shed light to all around him.  He loved deeply, sincerely cared about others, and he will be missed.

A memorial service will be held to honor his life at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Cawson Street Church of Christ, 310 N 3rd Ave, Hopewell, VA 23860.  Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
