Deborah “Debbie” Stevens, 72, of Chesterfield, Virginia passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, September 4, 2026. She is the daughter of the late Elwyn “Sonny” Emory and Louise Jessup Emory. She is preceded in death by her husband, C.R. “Randy” Stevens, daughter, Lucy Stevens, brother, Bubba Emory, and sister, Regena Christansen.

She is survived by her children, Heather (Joe) Sowards, Matthew (Rachel) Stevens, grandchildren, Austin and Halie Sowards, Sean (Janae) Davis, Sawyer and Mason Stevens, brother, Jerry Emory, nephews, Phillip (Warunee) Chappell, Jonathan Chappell, nieces, Jessica and Heidi Emory, two great-nephews, four great-nieces, many other family members and friends, and the ones who also called her Nana.

Debbie loved spending time with her family, canning, making jelly, and crocheting.

A graveside service will be held on September 11, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights, Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Debbie will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
