Debra Ann “Debbie” Braxton, 66, of Colonial Heights, VA, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025. She was a devoted member of Grace Baptist Church in Dinwiddie.

Debbie was the beloved daughter of Donald Lee Perkins, Sr. and Peggy Delean Perkins. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Wayne Braxton, Sr.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Kandy Fender (Michael); her mother, Peggy Delean Perkins; grandchildren, Makayla Haydon (Ryan) and Taylor Fender (Blake Strawser); and great-grandchildren, Beckley Haydon and Oakley Strawser. She is also survived by her brother, Donald Lee Perkins, Jr. (Janet); sister-in-law, Dennette Bristow (Brian); and several nieces and nephews.

Debbie was dearly loved by family friends Junior and Kaye Bland, Jeff Martin, and her godchildren, Meghan Miles (Josh) and Josh Bland (Gillian).

She retired from Travelers Insurance in Richmond, where she worked for many years as an Account Manager.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, S Prince George, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
