Doris Sue Gilbert

Doris Sue Phillippi Gilbert 81, of Chester, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023.  She was born August 4, 1941 to the late Earl and Dorothy Clemmons Pillippi.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirlee Jones.  Mrs. Gilbert was a member of Falling Creek Baptist Church.  She is survived by her husband; Billy Gilbert, sister; Velva Giddings, daughters; Debra Lambert and husband Dan, Lynn Patrick grandchildren; Aeran Lambert, Daniel Lambert and wife Madison, Rachel Land and husband Dante, Jesse Patrick, one great-grandson; Aiden Lambert.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Interment will be private.   Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
