Eileen Rethea Reedy, 96, passed away on August 12, 2026. She was the widow of Merle Eugene Reedy Sr. and is survived by her sons Douglas, Merle Jr. (Gene), Bradley, and Bryan; six grandsons; and nine great-grandchildren. Faith and family were the foundations of Eileen’s life. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a long-time member of Monumental Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Monumental Baptist Church, 2925 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, S. Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive visitors Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Crater Road Chapel of E.
