Faye Dickenson Foote, 91, of Colonial Heights, VA, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Born in Big Stone Gap, VA, on November 22,

1934, she was the daughter of the late Ray E. Dickenson and Lisa Elgar Smith Dickenson. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Oscar Henry Foote, and her sister, Joann Hurd.

She is survived by her sons, Craig Foote and wife, Susan, and William “Bill” Foote; grandchildren, Ashley Allen and husband, Chris, and Michael Foote; great-grandson, Grayson Allen; and nephews, Mark and Eric Hurd.

Faye retired as a registered nurse after a 50-year career of dedicated service, working at Southside Medical Center and John Randolph Medical Center. A tough and independent woman, she balanced the demands of her profession while always making sure her home and family were cared for, no matter how long the day had been. She had a giving heart and would help anyone in need without hesitation. Above all, Faye loved her family deeply, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson, who brought her immense joy. She also enjoyed attending services at her church, The Heights Baptist Church in Colonial Heights, VA.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, in Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W Hundred Rd, Chester, VA 23831. Arrangements are by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
