Frances Carter Burton, 52, of Chester died Monday, April 21, 2008 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd I. Carter of Flatwood, Tennessee. Mrs. Burton is survived by her husband, W. Floyd Burton; mother and step-father, Kelma Ford and A.B. Ford of Petersburg; sister, Rene' Wilkinson and husband Tim of Church Road; brother, A.B. Ford, Jr. and wife, Pam and nephews, Rustin and Brian of Ford, sister, Janie Miller of Lobelville, Tennessee; niece, Darlene Kilpatrick and her sons, Cody and Bradley of Linden, Tennessee; mother- and father-in-law, Doris and Wesley Burton of Chester; sister-in-law, Janice Blakley and husband, Russ of Chester; nephew, Kyle Rose and wife, Melissa and daughter, Kara of Chester; niece, Kristal Rose and husband, Michael Gonzales of Chester; and devoted caregivers, Jean Joyner and Dee Taylor of Colonial Heights. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2008 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Rev. Ken Christopherson officiating. Interment Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
