Frances Hamlett Martin, 96, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. Born September 29, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Lacy B. Hamlett and Mary Elizabeth Tucker Hamlett. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 33 years, John L. Martin, Jr., and numerous siblings.

Frances was proud to have served her career at Allied Chemical for 25 years. She loved to travel and fish in her personal time.

She is survived by her sisters, Edith Lewis and Alice Collins, nephew, John (Kevin) Lewis (Jennifer), niece, Tracy Sanders (Jim), great-nephew Keegan Lewis, great-niece, Chasity Procise, and numerous nieces, nephews, and loving family members.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W. Hundred Road, Chester, Virginia 23831. The family will receive friends an hour before from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
