Frederick Essig

Frederick A. Essig, 70, of Chester, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021. He was born on June 30, 1951 to the late George and Claribel Essig. Mr. Essig retired from the United States Army Reserves and was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Essig. He is survived by his children, Jeremy L. Essig, Beth Schrum, and K. Damon Essig (Pam); grandchildren, Deven Niece, Reid Niece, Brooke Niece, and Jacob Essig; and siblings, Filomena Shepardson (Ray), Farrel Essig, and Forrest Essig. A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W Hundred Road, Chester, Virginia 23831. The family will receive guests from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
