George A. Palmer

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of George A. Palmer, a devoted partner, loving father, cherished grandfather, and loyal friend. He was born on April 14, 1970, and passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025. George was a man of great skill and passion, always happiest with his hands at work, whether under the hood of a car or working with big trucks. His love for mechanics was matched only by his joy in the outdoors. Sitting under the stars while camping and being by the water brought him a deep sense of peace.

George is survived by his beloved partner, Jackie Faciano; his children, Andrew Palmer, Justin Palmer, and Chelsea Cook (Shay); five treasured grandchildren, Miley, Hayden, Gaige, Mason, and Bryson, who brought endless joy to his life; dear sisters, Jean Thomas (Larry), Dotty Lintz (Doug), and Nancy Margeta; his devoted mother; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom carry his legacy forward.

He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew George Palmer, and his sister, Mary Yoder, whose memories he held close.

George’s warm presence, his unwavering dedication to his family, and his passion for all things mechanical will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His love and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834, where friends will gather to share memories and honor the remarkable man he was. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
