Georgie Green

Georgie Louise Green, 80, of Chesterfield, died Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Colonial Heights Healthcare Center. Mrs. Green was the daughter of the late Eugene Samuel and Susie Avery Sirry; and was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Freddie Allen Green. She is survived by two sons, Donald L. Green, Sr. and wife Sandy of Dinwiddie, and Willie S. Green and wife Leigh of Chester; a daughter Louise G. Blount and husband David of Gasburg; two sisters, Elizabeth S. Bishop of Dinwiddie, and Geraldine S. Traylor of Chesterfield; six grandchildren, Shannon G. Thomas, Courtney G. Slee, Kelly L. Blount, William L. Blount, and Donald L. Green, Jr., and Michelle Stern; two great-grandchildren, Garrett and Audrey Thomas. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 8, 2008 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
