Gertrude Vacek

Gertrud Maria Vacek, 97, of Prince George passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Born January 30, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Milly Hommen, and was also preceded in death by her husband, James Vacek; and son, Gene Vacek.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Frances Vacek; best friend, Trudi Gartman; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

A private graveside service will be held in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, VA 23805. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prince George Fire and EMS, 6602 Courts Drive, 2nd Floor, P.O. Box 68Prince George, VA  23875.
