Hampton Almarode

Hampton Bailey Almarode, 76, of Chesterfield died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at St. Francis Medical Center. He was the son of the late Harry T. and Lorie Pickrell Almarode, and was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Hopkins Almarode, and a son, Michael L. Almarode. Mr. Almarode retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company. He is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Vanderipe of Tacoma, Washington, and Deborah Powell of Chester; nine grandchildren, Kevin, Rickey, Regina, Jennifer, Tiffany, Christopher, Jeremy, Shannon and Amy; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Frazier, and Lucille Barnes; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2008 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Gene Ballance and the Reverend Glen Russell officiating. Interment Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell.
