Howard Balch “Butch” Flexon, 72, of Colonial Heights, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025, at his residence. He was the son of the late Howard B Flexon and Gladys B. Flexon and was preceded in death by his son, H. Brian Flexon, grandson, Daniel Randolph Flexon, sister, Phyllis F Mangum, and sister-in-law, Carolyn Slaughter. He will be remembered for his great passion for his faith, being a proud member of Cutbanks Baptist Church and attended Swift Creek Baptist Church. He also found a passion in music, participating in Good New gospel band as a keyboard player. Howard worked for Dunlop Assisted Living as a maintenance associate and operated Howard Flexon Wallpapering. He was also a Charter Member at Colonial Heights Fire and EMS. He is survived by his wife Geneva S. Flexon of Colonial Heights, his daughter Jessica L Palmore, grandchildren, Brian Palmore, Courtney Palmore, Carly Palmore, his sister Brenda F Schmitz, and sisters-in-law: Margaret Slaughter, Deborah Hinton, and Nancy Kirsh and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Burial will take place 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in Cutbanks Baptist Church Cemetery, 24203 Cutbank Road, McKenney, Virginia 23872.
