Ilse Jones

Ilse Babette Jones, 89, of Prince George County, Virginia, went to her Heavenly Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Born on July 3, 1932, in Regensburg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Maria Watter Lehmeier. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence G. Jones, and her brothers, Kurt Lehmeier and Fred Lehmeier.

For 15 years, Ilse was employed at Kenner Army Hospital as a Medical Records Clerk. She was a member of the German Damen Club, and enjoyed going to the beach, dancing, and spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by her children, Ilse Schmeilzl and husband, Franz, Silvia Vaughan and husband, Robert, Clarence Jones and wife, Vicki, and Denise Kirk and husband, Conrad; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia Court House, Virginia 23002.
