Ivan Edward Forrester

Ivan Edward Forrester, Jr., 77, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025. He was born on October 2, 1947, in Warrington, Virginia, to the late Ivan Edward Forrester, Sr., a United States Air Force veteran, and Phyllis Joan Forrester. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Rita Forrester. Known to family and friends as Mike, he lived in many places, including Germany and England. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for three years. Following his service, Mike worked for the United States Postal Service, where he dedicated many years before retiring. In his free time, he enjoyed riding dirt bikes and skeet shooting with friends on Fridays. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Forrester; his step-son, Ashleigh Moody; his brother, Tim Forrester (Carolyn); nephews, Thomas and Logan Forrester; and his cherished pets, Bonnie, Clyde, Hobo, Bert, and Ernie. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia Courthouse, Virginia, 23002.
