Ivana Gail Perkinson

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ivana “Didi” Gail Perkinson, of Chesterfield, VA, after a brief yet courageous battle with cancer. Ivana was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph William and Cora Lena Perkinson. Her legacy of love, care, and laughter is carried forth by her brother, Joseph Edward Perkinson, and his wife Renee; sister Desiree “Cricket” Perkinson Elko, brother-in-law Jacob, and their daughter Callie; numerous cousins and extended family, lifelong friends, and all those touched by Ivana’s beautiful, bright presence.

Always an avid learner, Ivana’s education included a B.S. in Business, Management Science from Virginia Tech; M.S. in Business, Decision Sciences Concentration from VCU; and numerous APICS certifications in Supply Chain Management. Ivana served as Past President of APICS Richmond; Vice-President of Chapter Development and Chapter Instructors for APICS Greater Richmond Region; and most recently she served on the Board of Trustees for the Shepherd’s Center of Chesterfield.

Ivana marveled at the beauty and wonders of nature and enjoyed being outdoors and gardening, surrounded by her cherished puppies and kitty cats. She was absolutely overjoyed to become an aunt to her beloved baby niece, Callie. Ivana’s organizational skills, attention to detail, dedication and commitment to her career with Dominion Energy, unique sense of humor, lightness of spirit, and especially her care for her family, friends, and co-workers were evident throughout her entire life.

We endeavor to honor Ivana’s wish to embrace life, while still grieving our immense loss.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Gill Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 10726 River Road, Chesterfield, VA 23838.
