James N. Wells "Pete"

James N. Wells (Pete) went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd E. Wells and Frances M. Wells. He leaves a brother, Dan Wells of Salem, VA, and a sister, Linda W. Shearer of Hide Away, TA; along with four nieces and nephews.

James was born on July 14, 1939, in Petersburg, VA, and lived most of his life there. He worked for AT&T Long Lines for thirty years retiring when he was only 48. James had a deep love of animals, especially cats, and adopted them with relish. His kindness will be missed by his family, but he is at home now. 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in Southlawn Memorial Park,1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, VA 23805. Final arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes.
