Jeffrey Neal Russell
Jeffrey Neal Russell, 56, of Dinwiddie passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Born November 12, 1965, he was the son of the late John Thomas Russell Sr., and Martha Satterfield Russell, and was also preceded in death by his niece Laura Gayle Hensley. Jeffrey is now flying with his beloved eagles like the American flag he honored with pride. After his long, hard, and courageous battle he is now cancer free.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer B. Andrews; sons, Kyle Russell, and Hunter Andrews; daughters Amanda Bess and Heather (Josh) Thompson; granddaughters Olivia Bess and Addison Thompson; sister Linda (Curtis) Hensley; brothers Van Russell and Johnny (Dagmar) Russell; nieces and nephews Craig Hensley, Amy Hensley, Sean Russell, Adam Russell, and Mark Russell; numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.
Jeffrey was a man that took great pride in the dedication of running his family-owned business, Jeff Russell Scrap Metal, to support his family, motorcycles, and his friendships. A man with a passion for the outdoors being a member of several hunt clubs in Dinwiddie and Brunswick County. He enjoyed many evenings with the members of the Dinwiddie Moose Lodge. Jeffrey was a collector of many things and at the top of the list was people. A reliable friend who didn’t mind sharing his thoughts with you. He loved a good road trip listening to his favorite classic rock station or comedian. Those journeys always consisted of taking friends off the beaten path to the best hotdog, steak, BBQ, or ice cream joint. Jeffrey will be greatly loved and missed by all.
A memorial service will be Saturday, May 21 at 11:30 A.M. at Pine Grove Baptist Church, 22218 Dabney Mill Road, North Dinwiddie, Virginia 23803.
