Jerry Bolling Seymour, Sr., 84, a lifelong resident of Virginia, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025. Born February 26, 1941, he was the son of late Leslie "Buck" and Thelma Seymour, and was also preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd "Bubba" Seymour.

Jerry was, above all else, a devoted husband and a wonderful father. His family was the center of his world, and he showed that every day through his presence, his patience, and his support. To his grandchildren and children, Jerry was lovingly known as “PaPa.” Being PaPa was one of his greatest joys, and he cherished every moment spent with his kids and grandkids.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Seymour; sons, Jerry Bolling Seymour, Jr. and wife, Barb, Neil Edward Seymour and wife, Kym; grandchildren, Tyler Seymour, Hannah Seymour, Alexis Shields, Alyssa Shields, Dale Wilkinson, Shelby Wilkinson Lamprecht, Brandon Wilkinson, Izabella Howard; great-grandson, Mylo Wilkinson; sisters, Juanita York, Dorothy Story; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Interment will be private. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805.
