John Wilson

John Frederick Wilson, beloved husband and father, passed away on August 23, 2022 at age 82. He was born on December 1, 1939 to Charles and Garnet Wilson.

John served in the Air Force, and then went on to a career as an electrician at Ford Motor Company. He married Lynn R. Weatherly on September 14, 1968, and they had a beautiful daughter.

John is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Neil) Marlowe; sisters Patricia Tearman and Anna (Steve) Falor; nephews Albert Wilson, Mark Wilson; nieces Cathy Smith, Patty Cook, April Harris, Jennifer Duncan, Sherry Tearman, and Tina Avery; stepdaughters Sandra (Richard) Ginn and Kimberly Bennett; stepsons Bobby (Debbie) Bennett and Tony (Ellen) Bennett; and many other nieces and nephews.

John was known for his sense of humor, strong work ethic, and unwavering devotion to his family. He possessed an unending supply of patience and love for the many animals-in-need that crossed his path. John was a remarkable person. He was an amazing Dad. He will live on through his good deeds and his eternally kind heart.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
