Jonathan Allen West II was a loving father, master mechanic, and resident of Colonial Heights, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 28, 2022.
Jonathan is survived by his parents, Jonathan Allen West I and Joan Dorothea Weathersby West; his children, Ava Angel Chanel Williams and Jonathan Allen West III; sisters, Jourdan West of Holland, MI, Jessica West, and Janessa West of Williamsburg, VA; his Aunt, Alicia West of Kentwood, MI; two uncles, Robert (Monique)West of Battle Creek, MI, and Anthony (Belinda) Weathersby of Colorado Springs, CO; his grandmother, Hazel Weathersby and his grandfather, Charles Weathersby. He is the favorite uncle of two nieces and seven nephews. He is predeceased by his grandmother, Cynthia Ann West and grandfather, Brian Henry Moore West; his aunts, Charlotte Weathersby, Janice Weathersby, and uncle, Craig Weathersby.
Jonathan was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on June 5, 1992, to Jonathan and Joan West. He graduated in 2011 from Woodside High in Newport, Virginia and in 2013 as a certified Master Mechanic from NASCAR Technical Institute, Charlotte, NC. He was a true gearhead and truly happy anytime he was working on a car. He was funny, kind, generous, a man of his word, and will always be remembered for his willingness to help others.
Jonathan was so excited about being a new father. Although his time with his children was short, he loved and treasured each moment he spent with them. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially on holidays. He had a smile and laugh that was infectious. He departed from this world much too soon but the love he shared will live on forever. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on June 5, 2022, at 110 Fairmont Drive, Williamsburg, Virginia 23188.
