Katherine Jeanne Trank, born May 3, 1962, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, following a battle with cancer, with her daughter by her side.

Katherine worked for many years as an aide supporting individuals with developmental disabilities until she became disabled herself. In 2018, she moved to Virginia to be with her daughter, where she resided until her passing.

She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Trank; son-in-law, Robert Grow; granddaughter, Sophia Grow; and her siblings, Sheila Ouellette, Peter Trank, and Edgar Trank.

A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may offer support toward end-of-life expenses. Contributions may be made to Tiffany Trank.

Katherine’s life journey has come to rest, and she will be remembered by those who knew her.

Into your hands, O Lord, we humbly entrust your servant, Katherine.

In this life you embraced her with your tender love; deliver her now from every evil and grant her eternal rest.

The old order has passed away; welcome her now into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no weeping,

no pain, but fullness of peace and joy in your presence forever.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.

May she rest in peace. Amen.
