Kenneth S. “Ken” Knight, 76, of Colonial Heights, VA, left to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at his residence. Born in Baltimore, MD on September 26, 1949, he was the son of the late Raymond and Virginia Knight. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Orville and Larry Knight.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; two sons, Joshua Knight (Veronica) of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Michael Knight of Richmond, VA; grandson, Christian Knight; brother, John Knight (Sarah); sister, Juneal Gallagher; mother-in-law, Marjorie Lamb; and two grand-dogs, Humerus and Cheddar.

Ken was a retired X-Ray Technician from Kenner Army Health Clinic in Fort Lee, VA, and worked part-time from John Randolph Medical Center. He was a Purple Heart recipient, having served in the United States Army in Vietnam upon his graduation from Dundalk High School in Baltimore, MD. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 284. Ken was an avid fisherman and golfer, and was a member of the Colonial Heights Senior Golf Association. He was a charter member and a deacon at Second Chance Baptist Church in Petersburg, VA.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, in Southlawn Memorial Park’s Mausoleum, 1911 Birdsong Rd, S Prince George, VA 23805, with the Reverend David Prather officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
