With profound love and sorrow, we announce the passing of King Cairo Brandon Woodson, who departed this life on January 5, 2026. King was born on July 13, 2024, and in his short time on earth, he brought immense joy, light, and love to everyone around him. He had a special love for Bluey, Spiderman, and Elmo, which always brought excitement, smiles, and happiness to his days. His bright eyes, sweet smile, and playful spirit filled every room with warmth.
He is preceded by his sister, Brandyce Woodson, grandma, Beaulah Woodson, and uncle, Yancy Edmunds.
He is survived by his parents, Tameika Freeman and Brandon Woodson, sisters, RhiLynn Edmunds, Blesslyn Edmunds, JaNaeyah Woodson, Journee Woodson, brother, Jelani Woodson, grandmas, Sharon Edmunds and Cynthia Woodson, grandpa, Ruffus Bullock, Uncles, Kenneth Evans, Antonius Hicks (Deatrin), Trivon Gillison, aunts, Aiyona Laurence, De’Jamont Henderson, god-mothers, Iman Bey, Angie Moore, and Kimberly Layton.
Though his life was brief, King Cairo’s impact was immeasurable. He was deeply loved and will forever be cherished by his family and all who were blessed to know him. His memory will live on in every laugh, every moment of love, and every heart he touched.
King Cairo Brandon Woodson will be forever held close in our hearts and lovingly remembered always.
A memorial service will be held at the Colonial Heights chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, VA 23834 on Sunday, January 11th, 2026 at 11 a.m.
