Kris Victor Ongchangco, 64, of Dewitt, VA, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Born in the Philippines on November 17, 1961, he was the son of the late Kayumanggi N. Ongchangco and Martha F. Ongchangco.

He is survived by his wife, Leslie Ongchangco; daughter, Sara Provencal (Brandon); son, Eric Ongchangco; grandchildren, Natalia Trimarco and Valkyrie Provencal; siblings, Kayumanggi Ongchangco, Jr. (Baby), Luzyiminda Salazar (Rey), Likas Ongchangco (Jocelyn), Marylou Ongchangco, and Kislap Ongchangco; nieces and nephews, Danae Lee, Jason Salazar, PJ Dinglasen, Lizel Zeager, Rachel Saunders, RJ Meecham, Erik Ongchangco, and Ralph Dinglasan.

A faithful man, Kris was a devoted member of Smyrna Baptist Church in Dinwiddie, VA, and enjoyed singing in the choir there. He served in the United States Air Force and then went to serve for the California Air Guard. Kris worked at Southside Medical Center as a biomedical engineering technician with a BMET Certification.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Smyrna Baptist Church, 18971 Carson Rd, Dinwiddie, VA 23841. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the the church. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, with military honors, in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Rd, Amelia Court House, VA 23002.
