Linda Lou Henson, 79, of South Prince George, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. Born on October 7, 1942, in Tazwell, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Melvin Brown and Roburley Agnes Farmer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Eugene Henson; special companion, Bert Stevens; and her sisters, Nancy Holthouser and Lillian Culler.
She was a member of Gary’s United Methodist Church in Petersburg, Virginia. Linda also retired after 30 years of administrator work in civil service.
She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Camp (Jody), Teresa Kittilstved-Smith (Mark), and Ruby Henson; son, Hiram Henson (Barbara), Cecil Henson (Rose), Timothy Henson, Donell Henson, and Jason Henson; grandchildren, J.D. Camp (Samantha), Ashley Smith, Rebecca Camp, Danielle Smith, and Tiffany Camp; great-grandson, Joseph Daniel Camp Jr.; brother, James Brown; sisters, Rita Jo Horne and Donna Harris, numerous nieces and nephews. Her special dog Rocky.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Gary’s United Methodist Church, 13501 Sunnybrook Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, Virginia 23805.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to Prince George County EMS, 6500 Courthouse Road, Prince George, VA 23875. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
