Surrounded by the love of her family and sustained by her faith, Lindsey Dakota Austin Engle, age 35, entered the presence of Jesus on Sunday, May 31, 2026. She was born in Fredericksburg, VA on April 25, 1991.

Lindsey was a visionary entrepreneur and respected business owner in the real estate industry. She possessed a rare combination of creativity, determination, and excellence that allowed her to turn ideas into reality with confidence and purpose. Fearless in pursuing new opportunities, she approached every project, whether large or small, with the same level of care, professionalism, and attention to detail. Her talent and insight made her highly sought after by clients and companies around the world, and she earned the admiration of colleagues throughout the industry for both her work ethic and her ability to bring ideas to life.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lindsey was a kind and generous person who genuinely cared for others. She enjoyed reading, checking in on friends and loved ones, and finding ways to help those around her. Her warm hospitality made people feel welcomed and valued wherever she went. While she achieved much in her career, her greatest joy was her family. She loved being a mother and cherished the time spent with those she loved most. In the last year, she intentionally stepped back from many responsibilities to focus on caring for and ministering to her family, investing herself in what mattered most to her.

It was Lindsey’s faith in Christ that shaped the way she lived and loved. Her devotion to the Lord was evident not only in her words but in her actions, guiding the way she served others with grace, compassion, and humility. She reflected Christ’s love through her kindness, generosity, and care for those around her. Whether through a conversation, an act of service, or simply the way she lived her life, Lindsey had a unique ability to encourage others and point them toward Jesus. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and the light of Christ shone brightly through her, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her husband of ten years, Cody Engle; her beloved children, Conway, Oli, and Charlie Engle; her parents, Gordon and Stephanie Robbins; her sister, Ashlee Edmonds (Rickey); her brother, Matthew Robbins; paternal grandparents, Gordon and Mariam Robbins; maternal grandmother, JoAnne Newton; mother-in-law, Angie Engle; nieces and nephews, Kailey, Makayla, Jordyn, and Blaze; aunts, Kelly Turvey, and Tammy Johnson; uncle, Brent Turvey; cousin, Campbell Freeman (Sam, and Baby Tate); and many other extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. A Celebration of Life will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at LIFE CO. Church, 12501 Life Trail, Chester, VA 23831. A private burial will be held in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA.
