Lisa Rochelle Chadwick, 69, of Colonial Heights, a devoted wife, faithful servant, and proud veteran, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Louise Peel Hawkins Williams, and was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jason and Hamp Hawkins, Jr.
Lisa was a committed member of Bethany Baptist Missionary Church, where she served faithfully as a Deaconess, exemplifying compassion and leadership within her church family. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her in every endeavor and inspiring those blessed to know her.
A proud United States Army veteran, Lisa served her country with honor and distinction for 20 years, retiring at the rank of Sergeant First Class (SFC). Throughout her military career, she earned numerous medals and commendations that reflected her excellence, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to duty. Lisa was known as a “soldier’s soldier”, respected by peers, admired by subordinates, and valued by her superiors. She took immense pride in her accomplishments, especially in holding a rank higher than her husband, a friendly rivalry that spoke to her strength and spirit.
After her military career, Lisa continued to serve others as a quartermaster, organizing and managing resources for both large and small groups with the same precision and commitment that defined her time in uniform.
Lisa’s life was one of service, to her faith, her family, her community, and her country. She will be remembered for her discipline, her humor, her integrity, and the quiet confidence of a woman who led by example.
