Lucille Aldridge Parker, 83, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at her residence. Born in Victoria, she was the daughter of the late Henry L. and Fannie Belle Fuller Williams, and the widow of John G. Parker and William "Billy" Aldridge. She was preceded in death by five brothers, and one sister. Mrs. Parker was a member of Highland United Methodist Church, and retired after 35 years as the Secretary to the Medical Director at Central State Hospital. Lucille was a member of the Colonial Heights American Legion Auxiliary Post 284, the Colonel John Banister DAR Petersburg Chapter, UDC Chesterfield Chapter, and Charter member of the Women of the Moose in Dinwiddie. She is survived by her children, Richard Michael Aldridge and wife, Jeanette of Dinwiddie, Brenda Aldridge Simmons of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Steven Alan Aldridge of Hendersonville, North Carolina and Stacy Parker Strauser and husband, Donald of Brookfield, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Chris Aldridge and wife, Tiffany, Tommy Aldridge and wife, Donna, and Cherie & David Simmons; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Glenn Sullivan Williams of Dinwiddie. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013 in Highland United Methodist Church 125 East Westover Avenue Colonial Heights; Virginia 23834, with the Reverend Dr. Dorothy O'Quinn officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 8, 2013 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard.
