Lyman Warren Ange

Lyman Warren Ange, 95, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. Born in Plymouth, North Carolina on January 19, 1928, he was the son of the late Donnar Warren and Ruth Browning Ange. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Marshall Ange, and his sister, Alta Smith. Lyman served in the United States Army in Korea for two years, and then went on to serve as a Merchant Marine during World War II for many years. He began a career as a car salesman for Petersburg Ford, retiring after 28 years. He was an avid golfer, and a very active member of the American Legion Post #284 in Colonial Heights. He was also a longtime member of Cameron Avenue Church of Christ. Lyman was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and will be missed immensely by all who knew him.  He is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Doris Nichols Ange; children, Lynn Ange Tucker and husband Charles, Cris Ange Burton and husband, Mark, Lyman Ange Jr. and wife, Diane, and Keith Alan Ange and wife, Belle; grandchildren, Tressa and Angelynn Tucker, Brian Burton and wife, Megan, Grant Burton and wife, Chasity, Amber Ange Salter and husband, Ben, and Alexis Ange; great-grandchildren, Brayden Burton, Wiley Burton, Cooper Burton, and Olivia Burton; and numerous extended family members and friends. The family would like to specially thank the staff at the Dunlop House and Gentiva Hospice for their exceptional care given to Mr. Lyman.  A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Cameron Avenue Church of Christ, 601 Cameron Avenue Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made out to Cameron Avenue Church of Christ, Colonial Heights.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
