Madge Mccants

Madge B. McCants, 96, of Mooresville, North Carolina, formerly of Petersburg, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013. She was the daughter of the late George M. and Bessie Campbell Bowling, and the widow of Raymond W. McCants Sr. She was a member of Davidson United Methodist Church in Mooresville. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years and previous member at Kenwood United Methodist Church. Mrs. McCants was a Retired Executive Director with the Southside Sheltered Workshop. She is survived by a daughter, Jan M. Burnette and husband, Howard of Mooresville; a son, Raymond W. McCants Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; two grandchildren, Jennifer Pagani and husband, Joe of Charlotte, North Carolina and Jeffrey B. Burnette and wife, Erin of Fort Mill, South Carolina; three great-grandchildren, Rocco Pagani, Luca Pagani and Parker Burnette. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Carl Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg.
