Marcy Solares

Marcy Qualtieri (Lynn) Solares, 46, of Hopewell passed away in Colonial Heights at the home of her daughter, accompanied by her husband, her son-in-law’s mother, and hospice nurse on June 27, 2020, after her courageous battle with cancer for 5 years. Marcy is predeceased by her mother, Patricia Spafford. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Nery Solares; her daughter, Ciara Rivera (Zack); son, Cameron Solares; father, Rodney Spafford and Mark Qualtieri (Tina); sisters, Jill LaMountain (Zane), Miranda Qualtieri and Tessa Qualtieri; life-long family friend, Brook Mahboub; and her grandchildren, Emerie Rivera, Kailor Rivera, and Callum Rivera; as well as numerous friends and extended family. Marcy remained strong throughout her journey. Marcy will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her; however, she is now able to rest peacefully with her mother. At the request of Marcy, a celebration of life will be held from 3:30pm until 5:30pm on Sunday, July 5, 2020, at the Hopewell Optimist Club, 1310 Lynchburg Street, Hopewell Virginia 23860.  Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
