Some people leave footprints on our hearts that time can never erase. On Friday, October 23, 2026, our beloved Margaret "Sissy" Poarch, 67, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, laughter, and memories that will forever be treasured by all who had the blessing of knowing her. Born May 25, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Willard Barner and Lorraine Williams Poarch. She is also preceded in death by her best friend, Carolyn Wells.
Sissy was a special daughter, a loving sister, a cherished aunt, cousin, dear friend, and caring neighbor. But above all, she was a woman who knew how to love - and she loved BIG. It didn't matter who you were, where you came from, or what your circumstances might have been. She had a heart that welcomed people just as they were. Her love was genuine, her kindness was felt by many, and her presence had a way of making people feel special and accepted.
She had a beautiful way of making connections with others, turning ordinary moments into treasured memories and strangers into friends. To know her was to know someone who cared deeply, loved freely, and gave a piece of her heart to the people around her. Her family was precious to her, her friendships were meaningful, and the people fortunate enough to call her a neighbor knew the warmth of having someone special nearby.
She is survived by sisters, Lisa Poarch Arrington and husband, Curtis, Janet Vassar Arrington; bonus sister, Elizabeth Stu rgill Ingram; nieces, Christy Toombs and husband, Kenneth, Emily Blair and husband, Austin, Elisa Ingram and fiance, Andrew; nephews, Todd Arrington and wife, Toni, Ryan Arrington; great-nieces, Collins and Callie-Anne Blair; great-nephews, Austin Toombs and wife, Elizabeth, Noah Toombs and partner, Leighan, Brayson Arrington and partner, Lilly, Brennan Arrington, Baylor Arrington, Cole Reynolds; and other extended family members.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and in the love that will continue to surround us. Her life reminds us that the greatest legacy we can leave is not what we own or accomplish, but how we make others feel. She made people feel loved, and that is a gift that will never be forgotten.
While we mourn the loss of this special lady, we celebrate the blessing of having known her. Her time here may have come to an end, but the love she shared will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched.
She was loved deeply, she loved without limits, and she will be missed more than words can express.
Rest peacefully, Sissy. Your love will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew you.
