Marie Daniel

Marie Hancock Daniel, 83, of Colonial Heights passed away November 5, 2022. She was born in Hasty, Arkansas on June 19, 1939 to the late Norma Thompson Harrison and Loyal Edward Hancock. Mrs. Daniel was a member of Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Richard M. Daniel and sister, Linda H. Edwards. Marie was the “Top Dog” of her family and she was always there to take care of everybody. She was an angel on Earth with a heart of gold and everyone who knew her loved her. She will be missed dearly by everyone whose life she touched. She is survived by her daughters, Beth Porch (Raymond), Sheila Daniel and Penny Branch (Dwayne); eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; sister, Kathy Holcomb; brother, Robert Hancock and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10 a.m., one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at 2 p.m. at Crestview Memorial Park, 18599 US-1, La Crosse, Virginia 23950. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation ( bcrf.org/donate ).
