Marie White Lawrence, 92, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. Born October 18, 1934, she was the daughter of the late James Chapman White Sr, and Elsie Pickles White. He was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tommie Meyers Lawrence Jr. and was the last surviving of her siblings.

Marie had a successful career with CMP telephone, which later became Verizon, for 35 years. She was a proud member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and Immanuel Baptist Church. She loved to stay active in the church and in her community and found purpose in being a member of Southern Baptist World Changes.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Gentry, and numerous nieces, nephews, and loving family members.
